Hadoop and Big Data - An Overview


There was a time when data grew at a tremendous pace far beyond the grip of conventional systems. Hadoop came out of the necessity as a blessing to enterprises. Apache hadoop initialized a smart new way of recording and processing data. Hadoop supports distributed parallel processing of massive quantity of data across economical systems that are able to record and store data without limits. In the modern world lot of data is generated in a single second. With the advent of hadoop the enterprises and organizations are finding smart methods of using the data, previously thought to be inadequate.
Hadoop is capable of processing different types of data, whether it is log files, media files, emails, communication records and unstructured data irrespective of its basic format. Simply we have to throw those data into the Hadoop cluster. One Outstanding feature to mention is the hadoop ability to make the useless data into useful information. And it can reveal the subtle relationship between the data. For business this is an added blessing which helps them to take proper decisions
